TREKKING SOLO IS FUN, and scary sometimes.

I started trek all alone.

TREKKING SOLO IS FUN, and scary sometimes.

At 2828 meters, there is a hill station called Triund. It is situated at the foot of Dhauladhar range (one of the ranges of mighty Himalayas) in Himachal Pradesh, India. I was keen to go there as Triund is a large green land and offers beautiful sight of Himalayan range during the day and star gazing at night.

I started this trek all alone.

From the moment, I began this trek till i reach to this sight, I did not had a second thought on my decision of coming here all on my own. But when I reached here, I heard some sound coming from the bushes. I looked up and down, but could see nothing. After a hault of 2-3 minutes, I began ascending. I again heard the sound and I can figure out that whatever this creature is, it is moving closure.

.

I've heard before about the leopards and bears of the mountain. I got freezed, my body got cold and I started thinking, 'why on earth did I chose to trek alone'.

.

I started looking for a place downside the mountain, to fall off with least fractures. I also clicked this picture, so as to let others know, where my body could be found, if I go missing (dead).

.

Thousand of thoughts popped in my mind. I even cursed myself for not leaving a 'WILL' before coming for this sort of adventure but soon I  realized I don't have any asset either (SIGH!!).

.

I started putting my demands to God. I began with taking care of my family and give them strength. I also asked God to take care of my friends as they are, 'what AORTA is to heart'.

.

As the sound came real close, I realised, NOW is the time. Assembling all the strength left in me, l lifted my face a little up and looked at left side from corner of my eyes.

At this point of time, I could easily hear my heart beats. And then, when I was struggling to keep myself calm, a baby goat jumped out of bushes right in front of me followed by a herd of goats.

I'd just skipped a heartbeat and avoided heart attack. It was a goat. A GOAT...duh!!
